Showcase Resco mobile experience without Woodford knowledge. You can convert model-driven apps from your Power Platform or Dynamics organizations into Resco app projects in a few easy clicks. Whether you are a partner who wants to prepare a quick demo in the customer environment or a Power Platform admin who wants to try Resco without deep-diving into our app project designer tools, the option to quickly convert model-driven apps can save you a lot of time.

Import a model-driven app

  1. Install Resco Suite to your Power Platform organization and publish all customizations.
  2. Start the Resco Suite app and go to Woodford.
  3. Click Import Power Apps and select a model-driven app to import as a Woodford app project. Your app in the Power Platform will not change.

  4. Woodford reads the definition of the model-driven app and prepares the site map (called home screen) of your new app project. Incompatible items are omitted.

  5. You might receive some warnings and tips about the conversion.

  6. Go with the default option, or read more about project groups here.

  7. Select at least one role for the app project. Users with that role can access the top priority app project in their Resco Mobile CRM app.

  8. Wait until Woodford imports the views and forms and creates the app project.
  9. Select the new project and edit it. Review the home screen of your new app and check the list of tables (entities) available for offline use. Click Publish to conclude the process.

Run the app in Resco Mobile CRM

  1. On your mobile device, go to the app store and search for "Resco". Resco Mobile CRM is available for Android, iOS, and Windows.

  2. Install and start the app.
  3. Connect to your CRM as an internal user.

  4. Enter the URL of your Power Platform and create a password that protects the data in the app.

  5. Log in to your Power Platform. The user's role must match the role defined in the app project.

  6. Congratulations! You have connected to the converted model-driven app.
