Users can now create, modify, or delete the contents of [[file column]]s on entity forms in [[Resco mobile apps]].
File columns on Dataverse are a type of table column that can hold binary data.
* In Woodford, you can enable file columns to make them available in the app project.
* In Resco mobile apps, users can now create, modify, or delete the contents of [[file column]]s on entity forms. Synchronization is also supported, guaranteed both online and offline experience.

See [[file column]] for more information.
* Both the File Column and its Filename field must be enabled in Woodford.
* The parent entity form must contain File Column.
* Permissions for Create and/or Update must be set for both the parent entity and the file column.
 
;Notes
* The changed content of a file is only stored once the parent form is saved.
* To change the content, users must open the file, use the "Clear" command, and then upload a new file.
 
;Limitations
* Online supported in Online mode. This is a temporary limitation until synchronization of File Columns is available. Offline support is planned for general availability in 16.1 (September 2023), preview planned for end of June.
* SVG files (signatures) are not supported because of the same limitation on Dataverse side.
* [[Document roundtrip]] (automatic update of the file after it is changed in an external app) is not supported.
* Images can be stored in File columns, but it is not possible to use Image Editor to change them. It is still possible to resize them, though.
