September 2025: Salesforce disables access to uninstalled connected apps
Warning | Urgent action required! |
- Summary
Salesforce will disable access to “Uninstalled connected apps” for new users. The change will be rolled out with their Winter 2026 release in early September 2025. This change will affect Resco customers, and admins must take action to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Details
This change affects “Resco for Salesforce” and “Resco Woodford for Salesforce” connected apps. The apps are automatically registered on customer organizations when the first user logs in, but they are not installed by default. This is by design so that customers don't need the Resco package to use MobileCRM and Woodford. Salesforce admins must install these apps so that new users can log in to Resco Mobile CRM and Woodford.
- Action to be taken
- Log in to your Salesforce organization.
- Go to Setup > Connected Apps > Connected Apps OAuth Usage.
- Locate the apps “Resco for Salesforce” and “Resco Woodford for Salesforce”.
- Click Install for both apps.
After a connected app is installed in your org, you can manage access to it. We recommend an additional step to strengthen your security posture: restricting the users who can use Resco.
- Go to the Manage Connected Apps screen.
- Find "Resco for Salesforce" and click Edit.
- Under OAuth Policies, set Permitted Users to "Admin approved users are pre-authorized".
This option means that only users with the associated profile or permission set to access the app without first authorizing it. - Go to the Profiles section and add the profiles of Resco Mobile CRM users.
See Salesforce documentation for more details.
