Normally, mail is synced during regular [[synchronization]] of the app. However, you can add a special item to the [[home screen]] called "E-Mail Sync" that allows users to trigger an email-only synchronization. Information about this email-only sync does not appear in the [[sync log]] and it is also not subject to [[Auditing#Enable_collection_of_audit_data|Sync auditing]], i.e., it is not displayed in the [[Sync Dashboard]].
