The Resco Mobile CRM application has been translated into many languages (see list). Users of the mobile app can select their preferred language in the Setup (unless that component has been removed from the app by administrator).
Administrators can use Woodford to manage available language in the mobile app.
- To modify language options for the entire organization and all projects, select Localizations from the Administration menu.
- To modify language options for a single project, select Localization from the Project menu.
Adding a language
- On the toolbar, click New. A new window opens.
- As Language, select the language that you want to create.
- As Template, select the language that will be used as a source.
- Click Save. New language is added to the list. After you save and publish your projects, your mobile users will now see an additional language available.
Editing a translation
This option gives you an ability to add a language mutation of the Mobile CRM application – this means that you can change various display names in the app, name of entities, tabs in forms and other UI elements.
This can be particularly useful if a translation does not fit on the small button of the mobile app. Updating these selected strings, perhaps using abbreviations, can greatly improve the usability of the app.
To modify strings:
- Select a language and click Edit. Alternatively, double-click the language.
- Use the Navigation pane to find the string you want to modify.
- Optionally, use Search in the top right corner of the Labels pane to narrow down your search.
- To modify a label, select it and click Edit (or just double-click it).
- Click Save to save your changes.
If you're not happy with a particular change, use the Restore button.
Use Add or Add Multiple to add custom labels. Use Delete to remove custom labels. You cannot delete the default labels.
Use Export to download the labels in text format. Use Import to upload labels back.

- Making a lookup field from text field
- In some cases, users need to enter the same text into some field repeatedly. To help them, you can use localization to predefine some often-used options so that the text field acts as a combination of a lookup field and text field. That way, users can choose from the most frequent options and also have an opportunity to enter a different entry if desired so.
